About The New York Butcher Shoppe

The New York Butcher Shoppe is a neighborhood gourmet grocery store with an emphasis on expert service and quality products all at reasonable prices. Our franchisees have the benefit of growing their business by developing relationships with their customers through expert advice on meal planning and cooking tips. Our hours are normally 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday - Saturday. This concept is perfect for culinary or business professionals looking to build a future with a much more attractive lifestyle than many restaurant concepts may offer.

The New York Butcher Shoppe was founded in 1999 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Since that time it has grown in popularity with customers and now has several locations across South Carolina.

The New York Butcher Shoppe's beef is Premium Angus and is aged and cut to order. The stores offer a variety of fresh cut steaks, as well as high quality pork, chicken, veal, lamb, and homemade sausages. There is a Boars Head deli section that provides sliced meat, cheeses and sandwiches for consumption off premises. Fine wines and cheeses are also available along with gourmet pastas, imported grocery items and prepared dishes that would be heated or cooked after purchase.

This is a high quality market with an emphasis on personal customer care. The prices are as good or better than supermarket prices, but at the New York Butcher Shoppe, customers enjoy personal service and expert advice on cooking/grilling and meal planning.

The NYB concept is founded on the principles of outstanding customer service and the highest quality product, in a clean and inviting atmosphere.

Our line of hand cut steaks using Premium Angus Beef, prepared entrées, side dishes, salads and dips are always fresh and provide a unique shopping niche for our customers. We also offer fresh sausages, frozen pastas, vegetables, hard to find grocery items, and a top selection of fine wines and cheeses.

The stores are able to operate well on small staffs in retail space from 1,100 - 1,600 square feet. Assistance with site election is provided by us, as well as guidance through your opening and ongoing operations. As the owners of the Franchiser, we also operate stores and are hands on every day to build the brand and the system.

Training: NYB Training Program

The Initial Training takes place in Greenville, South Carolina, in a hands-on setting. The Initial Training will be scheduled in conjunction your opening date.

All of our trainers are experienced meat cutters or Shoppe managers or experienced employees who are experienced in Shoppe operations. The Initial Training is mandatory for you, your lead meat cutter, kitchen and deli persons (if other than you). Our training program is hands on and you and your team will be able to run every aspect of the business once you have completed training. We operate from a system which is completely documented for easy reference to ensure you always have the resources you need to properly operate your New York Butcher Shoppe!
